Private Scent Gatherings
For colleagues, friends, a team, a family
These gatherings are an invitation to return to the sense of smell as a meditative and creative practice. A group gathers around the quiet influence of botanical aromatics, in an immersive encounter guided by scent. A selection of materials is explored together and ach participant draws from memory, instinct, and preference to compose a scent of their own, bottled in a 10 ml roll-on to take home.
No experience is required. Only a willingness to create by listening to the information that the inhalation of each aroma carries. Drawing and writing are encouraged. All materials are provided.

SCENT DIRECTION
The studio’s library holds hundreds of aromatic plant extracts of the highest quality, sourced responsibly from around the world. From it, a palette of up to fifteen is chosen for each group, so that every extract is given the proper space to be met.
A direction is the idea the palette is built around, and it can be as open or as specific as the group likes. It may begin with a season (e.g. the first weeks of spring, the turn toward winter), a place (e.g. a coastline, a forest floor, Oaxaca), or a memory held in common. It may be a feeling (e.g. nostalgia, expansiveness, quiet), a word, a color, or an hour of the day. It may be an aromatic profile (e.g. green and woody, resinous and smoky, spiced and floral), or a quality the group would like more of (e.g. focus, calm, joy, groundedness).
Without a direction in mind, the reason for gathering offers useful information for creating a selection for your group.
